Summary of 2023 User Group Meeting
The 2023 Point and Click Solutions User Group Meeting was held June 26-27 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. 234 customers representing 79 sites participated in the event, along with several exhibitor partners, 15 full-time PNC team members and 2 part-time PNC clinical consultants.
The event featured two days of presentations by PNC specialists and client subject matter experts, and over 80% of those in attendance rated the event highly and indicated they would be likely to attend next year's event. According to one attendee:
"Even for those who are technologically-inclined, there is just too much to learn about PnC during a migration or when starting a job. The conference, while also more material than can be learned in a couple of days, helps reinforce previous trainings and add some additional tips. Learning about the coming upgrades is amazingly exciting too."
In addition to the content presented by subject matter experts, and the opportunity to ask questions directly to the PNC team, attendees were able to use a smartphone app with messaging and social networking features to connect with peers at other sites.
At the meeting, President/CEO David Tan announced that a 2024 user group meeting will also be planned for the same venue.
Slide presentations from the user group meeting have been posted to PncHelp.

Simple Branching Page editor for more easily configuring student portal branching pages, including an amazing visual representation of the links.
Appointment Presence setting - use the same visit type for in-person and telehealth visits.
Compliance Sorting on the portal.
Appointment Reminder templates customizable by visit type, department, and transmission (SMS text vs email).
Inside Referral workflow improvements.
Centralized Print Spooling
... and more
'Sensitive' Lab Flag and Portal Visibility
Lab results that are marked as ‘sensitive’ based on the sensitive flag checkbox in the PncAdmin Lab Result or Lab Order editors have historically been hidden from the medical records view on the patient portal. The Cures Act requires that all lab results be available to the patient as soon as the results are available in the chart unless a provider specifically indicates that a result should be hidden.
Read more in PncHelp about changes in this area to promote better compliance with the Cures Act.
